Unit 1 consists of all teaching assistants and research assistants (who work as RAs in lieu of a TAship) employed at McMaster University. The current Unit 1 collective agreement expires on August 31, 2022.
Unit 1 members have elected the following bargaining team: Chris Fairweather (Social Sciences), Will Foley (Social Sciences), Kaitlin Rothberger (Humanities), Zahra Tootonsab (Humanities), Kyle Morrison (Social Sciences), Shalen Prado (Social Sciences), Wouter van den Berg (Science), Eric Macpherson (Humanities) and Belinda Tam (Inspire Program).
